The Opportunity

Security Platforms Engineering (SPE) is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead Security Product Experience & Design Engineering (SPEDE), including team leadership and driving overall product strategy and vision across its portfolio of security product offerings. This is a high-impact leadership role, driving product transformation and defining the future of security insights, risk reduction, and user experience at Netflix.

About Security Platforms Engineering (SPE)

Security Platforms Engineering (SPE) is a core pillar of Security Privacy and Assurance (SPA) at Netflix. We provide foundational services and platforms that enable Security, Privacy and Assurance engineers and the Netflix workforce to scale and understand and swiftly make decisions and take action on risk by providing foundational products and services, including foundational security data and insights, platforms to reduce toil and create a unified experience for security at Netflix.

As the Group Product Manager for Security Platforms Engineering, you’ll be the driving force behind our product strategy, focusing on:

  • Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end product operations and strategy, defining a clear, data-informed strategy that maximizes security risk reduction & customer satisfaction. This includes leading prioritization, defining and communicating metrics & Key Performance Indicators, coordinating closely with our engineering and data teams. You will also champion product-driven thinking across SPE, and with different functions such as engineering, design, and security.

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead Security Product Experience and Design Engineering (SPEDE), a strong team of PMs and Design Engineers, guiding them in setting and achieving ambitious goals. Actively coach, mentor, and grow the team, ensuring a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing environment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product leaders within SPA, and in our partner organizations Infrastructure Platform & Netflix Technology Services Product, to align goals and articulate a compelling product vision, turn that vision into actionable, well-scoped projects, and prioritize thoughtfully across competing initiatives.

  • Organizational Alignment & Communication: Ensure the broader organization understands our product strategy and roadmap, fostering transparency. Proactively seek diverse viewpoints to keep our focus on the most critical, strategic work.

What You Bring

We are looking for a product leader who embodies SPE’s values and has a proven track record in platform-focused security product management:

  • Proven Product Leadership: 8-10+ years in product management, including experience leading security product teams and managing people, implementing customer-centric product principles and practices in an organization. You have a demonstrated ability to develop and inspire teams to achieve ambitious outcomes.

  • Security Industry & Domain expertise: Experience and strong understanding of security products industry, and security risk. You know the security market, and can evaluate needs against existing security tools and products that meet product needs & identify areas where we should challenge the status quo.

  • Strategic Thinking & Communication: You’re a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator who excels in both written and verbal forms. You can clearly convey product and security concepts and lead thoughtful discussions on strategic decisions, ensure product strategy balances user requirements and security risk reduction, and communicate needs and progress with your team and manager.

  • Growth Mindset & High Attention to Detail: You bring a growth mindset and a high attention to detail, understanding how your products and product goals connect to team and company goals.

  • Cross-Functional Expertise: Experience working in cross-functional environments where products or platforms cut across multiple teams and functions.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $520,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
