The Product Manager will be responsible for managing both existing products and new product development for assigned clinical and strategic products. The Product Manager will manage and coordinate the execution for certain Medicare clinical programs and products. Under direction, the Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing the tactical operations for existing Medicare clinical products/program (e.g. Pharmacoadherence, Star Rating Tool, Star Support Outreach, MTM, Drug Management Program, etc). Working collaboratively with the Population Health and/or Medicare Clinical Services Pharmacists or product managers, the PM will ensure the timely and flawless execution of clinical program interventions to our members and reporting to our clients. The PM will also help identify product improvement opportunities, required CMS updates, track and trend client reporting, communicate with external vendors, perform quality assurance checks/testing, and maintain program specific metrics. The PM will remain current with all CMS requirements and memo updates as published for assigned products. The individual must work cross-functionally in order to achieve departmental level objectives in support of the strategic plan.

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Ensure the timely and flawless execution of Medicare clinical program mailings, reporting and interventions.
  • Measure key performance indicators (e.g. uptake, clinical outcomes, mailing costs, mail return rate, ROI, Star Ratings and trends, revenue, etc.) for assigned clinical products and communicate areas of improvement.
  • Assess product capacity for managing new clients.
  • Participate in Medicare clinical product development and execute the product roadmap within scope, time and budget.
  • Develop a keen understanding of Medicare clinical products in the PBM industry in order to work collaboratively to expand product offerings, refine current product positioning and develop key messages for both existing and potential clients.
  • Assist in analyzing the products performance, position, and utility for our clients and their members.
  • Ensure assigned Medicare clinical products meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with key cross-functional areas (Clinical Engagement Center, IT, Population Health, Customer Care, Finance, Client Services, and Clinical Services) about product executions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct opportunity analyses for prospective clients in consultation with the Clinical Account Executives.
  • Develop and continually improve strategies, objectives and policies for the assigned products / programs, and establish and monitor high performance standards and productivity measures / targets.

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred. CPhT preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years product management/development experience in a like industry to include health, biomedical, or pharmaceutical.
