Overview

The Sr. Product Manager (within Payment Accuracy Product Suite) will be responsible for leading pharmacy / PBM product roadmaps supporting product growth. This role will enhance and extend the Cotiviti product roadmap for our PBM clients. This role will serve as product subject matter expert working closely with stakeholders for product requirements, design and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes a product vision and roadmap for Cotiviti Pharmacy to help position the organization for growth and scalability, effectively leverages technology to drive automation and innovation.
  • Gathers industry research, product advisory board input and client feedback for product roadmap development.
  • Works closely with Cotiviti PharmDs and Medical Directors to ensure requirements are well documented and meet the strategic objectives of the projects. Collaborates with the IT team to ensure solution architecture and workflow supports all aspects of the work: Collaborates with the Business Analysts and Solution Architects to continually mature the backlog, defines and decomposes features and epics of the product and defines acceptance criteria for Features; Attends all Product team events, Sprint Planning and Sprint Demo for each team;
  • Works directly with the delivery team to set clear expectations, to accept or reject deliverables.
  • Decides most appropriate release date for content, adjusting features and priorities as needed.
  • Works with other Product Owners to prioritize feature and stories with external dependencies.
  • Escalates issues requiring executive attention promptly supported by an objective assessment and recommendation.
  • Identifies risks and implements risk mitigation plans. Owns end-user communication and training strategy on defined Products; works with training development to ensure content effectively maps product capabilities to business process execution.
  • Ownership and accountability for new product vision, features and functions
  • Product Pricing: Accountable for developing solutions that support profitability, efficiency, and growth targets. Assists in the development of pricing strategies to maximize overall returns.
  • Product development: Works in tandem with cross-functional teams on all new development, and improvement of existing solutions in line with strategic development opportunities. Reviews product performance against expectations and facilitates or influences changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance.
  • Product Launch: Works with marketing to successfully educate, inform, answer questions and launch new product capability with our business partner teams.
  • Produces work that reflects a focus on quality in consideration of the client’s (internal and external) needs and qualitative self-review process. Communicates and supports company and departmental goals and objectives. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) preferred, or equivalent experience. Product background required. Pragmatic Marketing training a plus.
  • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience required, 3 yrs.
  • 5 yrs. experience in US healthcare claims systems and specifically in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM).
  • Experience in product development liaising between business and technical teams. Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in process definition and continuous quality improvement.
  • Flexibility in thought and approach to problem solving. Ability to understand process inputs/outputs and effects of all.
  • Strong understanding of system or product development lifecycle.
  • Builds credibility and establishes influence with internal team members and client team members in a way that leads individuals to solicit and follow advice or direction. Strong focus on detail, root-cause analysis, and change management.
  • Experience in health plan operations, with focus on reimbursement, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9).
  • Consulting experience within a healthcare coding and reimbursement company is a definite plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in presentation and facilitation with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to work within a matrix organization.

Work Demands

  • Some travel may be required at times for this role (10-15%).
  • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones.

Base compensation ranges from $115,500 to $142,500. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
