Job Summary
The AVP, Medicaid Product Development collaborates with the VP, Medicaid Product Development in leading the organization's customer-centric product development activities for Medicaid lines of business. The AVP of Medicaid Product Development researches and identifies critical programs, Medicaid capabilities and products necessary for competitive growth and works across the organization to ensure development and packaging of winning solutions and strategies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Collaborates across departments to pull together innovations and solutions from across the organization into defined corporate-wide products and solutions.
• Leverages competitive and customer insights to identify gaps and weaknesses in product offerings and to collaborate to prioritize and address those gaps and weaknesses.
• Ensures all products have measurable results and helps define best in class processes for measuring Medicaid programs and solutions
• Takes initiative and drives for measurable results.
• Serves as department Subject Matter Expert in Medicaid and leads and/or supports programs and projects to meet critical needs
• In collaboration with the VP, educates team members and departments on Medicaid strategies and solutions to develop sales talking points and supports team members in stakeholder engagement as needed
• Supports proposal development team in describing Medicaid products and programs in Medicaid proposals.
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
Required Experience
• 7 - 10 years of experience in Medicaid, with Managed Care experience preferred.
• Previous leadership experience• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively collaborator with business unit leaders, subject matter experts, and external resources.
• Critical and strategic thinker who understands needs of Medicaid members, providers and government agencies
• Strong relationship-building skills

• Persuasive communicator with the ability to influence and drive results through others.
• Collaborator who is comfortable working across a matrixed organization to achieve shared goals

• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with Product or Strategy Development preferred
