Department: Industrial IT / Digital Manufacturing
To design and deploy unified supervision and MES architectures within a Discrete Manufacturing environment (Automotive, OEM, Assembly). The role focuses on digitizing unit-based production flows, optimizing machine cycle times, and ensuring real-time visibility over shop floor assets.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop object-oriented models for discrete assets (Robots, CNCs, Conveyors, Assembly stations) using AVEVA System Platform to create a digital twin of the production line.
- Implement AVEVA MES Performance to track OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) in real-time, analyzing micro-stops and cycle time deviations specific to high-speed discrete production.
- Deploy Andon Systems and visualization screens using AVEVA OMI to alert operators of material shortages or station faults on the assembly line.
- Configure AVEVA Historian to capture high-speed data bursts associated with discrete manufacturing cycles for root-cause analysis.
- Integrate 3D Viewer OMI Apps to visualize spatial contexts of complex machinery and PLC Viewer OMI to diagnose logic interlocks on specific production units.
- Manage the interface between the shop floor (OT) and ERP systems to synchronize production orders (Work Orders) and inventory consumption.
Decision Making & Authority:
- Define the standardization strategy for "Graphics" and "Objects" to ensure consistency across multiple manufacturing cells and sites.
- Authorize modifications to MES data collection logic regarding "Good/Bad" parts counting and rework loops.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience in Discrete Manufacturing (Automotive, Packaging, or Machine Building).
- Understanding of discrete flows (Job Shop vs. Flow Shop).
- Expert in AVEVA System Platform, InTouch, and AVEVA MES (Performance/Operations).
- SQL proficiency for handling transactional production data (Work Orders, Bill of Materials).
- Ability to communicate technical constraints to production managers focused on Takt Time and output targets.
