Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 8-10 engineers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Run the scrum process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Define project goals, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure that the team is aligned and focused on achieving them.
- Coach, mentor, and uplevel team members, providing ongoing feedback, guidance, and opportunities for growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other cross-functional teams to define project requirements and priorities.
- Identify and address any roadblocks, risks, or issues that may impact project delivery, and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Ensure that engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes are followed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience with modern software development technologies and methodologies. We use .Net, Angular, Typescript and AWS for our tech stack.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
