As a Territory Manager for Medtronic’s Cardiac Surgery (CS) business you are expected to meet and exceed established sales targets for your assigned territory (Sweden). As part of the CS team, you are required to develop, align and support established CS account strategies and collaborate on cross business selling strategies that maximize the revenue and market-share for CS. This position will cover Sweden, and you will need a full clean drivers’ licence and the capacity to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with country and regional sales managers to establish account strategies in support of account specific business opportunities, CS strategies, and Medtronic Hospital Solutions
  • Manage tender contract terms and conditions, working with multiple stakeholders to ensure favourable outcomes, and be the authority on pricing strategies to gain market share
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers across the assigned territory.
  • Effectively manage consignment inventory and trunk stock inventory
  • Ensure that relevant hospital staff are trained on implantation using Medtronic products in the most effective way
  • Understand all aspects of daily sales, product mix, selling prices and performance

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of the local healthcare market
  • At least 3-5 years of successful sales experience from the healthcare industry
  • Experience of working in a tender driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish (written and spoken)
  • Open and direct communication style and strong interpersonal skills

Degree in Medicine, Life-science, Engineering, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree would be a distinct advantage as would knowledge of the competitive marketplace.
