The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to help build and evolve our consumer brands’ measurement and optimization tools. In this role, you’ll be a hands-on technical leader within a cross-functional squad—driving high-quality UI delivery while shaping the front-end foundations that make our products fast, accessible, and scalable.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, design, and marketing to translate complex needs into intuitive web experiences. You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, establish strong front-end patterns, and help grow our design system and component library. You’ll also mentor teammates, raise the bar on engineering excellence, and ensure we ship reliable improvements through thoughtful testing, performance work, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & UI Engineering

• Design and build new web-based applications and major features that power measurement and optimization experiences.
• Deliver interactive, responsive web interfaces using Angular + TypeScript with a high bar for usability and quality.
• Partner with Product and Design to turn ideas into well-structured solutions, validating assumptions with prototypes when helpful.
• Contribute meaningfully to sprint planning, estimation, and execution—helping the squad consistently hit outcomes.

Front-End Architecture & Design Systems

• Build and extend a scalable code-based design system and internal component library used across products.
• Establish and follow component-based architecture patterns that improve reuse, maintainability, and consistency.
• Help assess the technical impact of design decisions, offering pragmatic alternatives that preserve intent while reducing complexity.
• Identify technical debt and propose improvements that increase long-term velocity and stability.

Performance, Quality, and Accessibility

• Optimize front-end performance (rendering, bundle size, caching, runtime behavior) to support data-heavy experiences.
• Ensure strong cross-browser compatibility and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
• Integrate with testing services and frameworks for unit, integration, functional, and E2E coverage.
• Improve reliability through instrumentation, debugging, and disciplined release practices.

Collaboration, Communication, and Mentorship

• Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and marketing to align on tradeoffs and deliver great outcomes.
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, surfacing risks early and offering solutions.
• Embody and strengthen the team’s cultural values—ownership, curiosity, and craftsmanship.

Ideal Experience

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 6+ years focused on modern JavaScript web applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (Angular preferred, React/Vue also applicable).
• Strong experience with component-based architecture, reusable UI patterns, and building/maintaining design systems.
• Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and building polished UI for complex workflows.
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization, browser rendering behavior, and debugging techniques.
• Experience managing complex state using tools such as TanStack (familiarity with other state patterns/tools is a plus).
• Strong grasp of accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility best practices.
• Expertise with front-end testing strategies and frameworks (unit, integration, E2E).
• Experience with modern build tooling and delivery practices: CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment workflows.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices (code reviews, trunk/branch strategies, etc.).
• Familiarity integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL and working effectively with backend partners.
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and modern deployment/containerization concepts is a plus.
• Strong communication, ownership mindset, and the ability to influence outcomes across disciplines.
