Founded in 1994 by the esteemed Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, institutions with legacies stretching back to the early 1800s, our mission is to enhance patient care, advance medical knowledge through research and teaching, and lead the way in integrated healthcare. We believe that to maintain our standard of excellence, we must continuously strive to increase value and improve the quality of care we deliver. Our culture is one of collaboration, where the brightest minds in medicine—researchers, educators, doctors, nurses, and a vast array of dedicated professionals—come together. This collective spirit, now uniting over 82,000 employees, is driven by a simple, yet profound commitment: to do what is best for our patients.

To be a global leader, we understand it is essential that our workforce reflects the diverse patients we serve, offering a multitude of perspectives. This diversity enables us to develop superior solutions, deliver higher quality care with better patient outcomes, and ensure that all individuals feel confident and trusting when seeking care from our community.
