Senior Manager - Risk Consulting

What can you expect:

Emerging Risk:

  • Help build out the value proposition for emerging risks.
  • Perform extensive research to augment the quantitative and quantitative outputs with market intelligence.

Project Contribution:

  • Contribute on projects ranging from Cyber Risk Consulting to ESG Risk.
  • Work with industry leaders across different business lines to develop and mature consulting practice.

Financial and Statistical Analysis:

  • Perform and develop a wide variety of financial and statistical analysis to help Marsh's clients.
  • Conduct analysis, research, and reporting to interpret, validate, and reconcile complex data.

Client Engagement:

  • Opportunity to lead and deliver client engagements and contribute to bespoke model building.
  • Write reports to present model outputs in non-technical/simplified language for the consumption of senior client leaders.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work alongside team members across data science and actuarial teams to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support our advisory stakeholders in writing reports and industry white papers.

We will count on you to:

  • Help build the ERG value proposition by consistently innovating and enhancing the existing solution
  • Actively contribute to report writing and the development of bespoke models
  • Assimilate and analyse data, develop and test hypotheses and prepare recommendations
  • Assist us in developing and employing frameworks to resolve complex business problems of our clients
  • Develop and implement tailored concepts for risk recognition, measurement, and control
  • Build solutions that is a combination of quantitative and qualitative inputs and techniques
  • Create trend analysis, time series forecasting, benchmarking, scorecards and indices
  • Conduct extensive research to enhance the output and improve the value proposition of the current solution.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts, to respond efficiently to complex research questions by delivering synthesized, actionable facts and insights to our consulting teams and clients
  • Communicate the solution, its parameters, its assumptions and its inner workings to audiences who vary widely in their levels of technical fluency and seniority

What you need to have:

The candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Masters in Economics / Business / Finance / Statistics / Econometrics etc or Engineering + MBA from a reputed university or college
  • 5 to 8 years’ experience on consulting and analytics – trend analysis, time series forecasting, benchmarking, scorecards, indices etc.
  • Experience in consulting projects, preferably Big Four, and conducting independent secondary research
  • Ability to work with internal and external - including paid and publicly available data sources
  • Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to risk, strategy, manufacturing, climate change and sustainability, supply chain, cyber, project management etc.
  • Extensive experience on working with Strategic Frameworks
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong ability to weave a story using multiple data points
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology
  • Project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • A team player with extraordinary interpersonal skills with demonstrated stakeholder management

What makes you stand out:

  • Strong academic rigour
  • Familiarity with core statistical concepts e.g., correlation, regressions, significance values, etc.
  • Knowhow of programming languages like Python or R and BI tools like Tableau will be a plus
  • Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytical techniques, processes and outputs
