Our Group Disability department is looking for a self-motivated, relationship builders to join their team as a Disability Management Consultant (DMC). In this role you will be responsible for relationship management and coordination of large corporate accounts specific to Disability Management. You will be one of the key senior disability personnel to work directly with Manulife clients to identify trends, implement solutions for the clients' disability management programs.
Special Conditions: Travel is required in this role.
Responsibilities:
Complete client and industry presentations related absence management, short and long term disability programs.
Provide technical expertise and knowledge as a senior team member of the Disability Operations related to Disability Management
Collaborate with the Regional Sales and Disability Claims office to identify existing client solutions specific to disability issues
Work closely with disability operations to deliver timely and responsive service to clients (ie facilitating file review meetings, resolution of complex service issues, take initiative and lead in preparing, facilitating and follow through from various client meetings)
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with employers to support satisfaction in the delivery of disability management services
Provide technical expertise, support and participation specific to disability proposals and finalist presentations
Manage the implementation of disability program for new clients which includes active participation in implementation meetings, developing timelines for key task activities, meeting deadlines, profiles of client environment, educating claims staff re: special requirements, client culture, etc.
Partner with large corporate employers and assist in streamlining and coordinating service delivery in order to improve disability claims management results. This includes completing disability risk analysis, commentary, recommendations to improve experience and collaboratively working with various key stakeholders in completing action plans in timely and responsive manner.
Provide a proactive and strategic approach to supporting employers with analysis, reporting & problem resolution regarding their disability plan's experience
Actively promote solutions and services to clients that add value and will support improved workplace health and productivity
Actively influence and effectively negotiate in various environments and industries related to wellness, absence and disability management
Travel is required in this role so candidate must have a valid driver's license
Qualifications:
Deep understanding, extensive knowledge and expertise regarding disability case management best practices and processes at Manulife
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
High degree of financial acumen

Salary range is expected to be between
