Lokal is looking for a talented Copywriter to join our internal marketing team

At Lokal, we build products for Bharat – across jobs, business leads, and local communities. We’re looking for a copywriter who understands how to speak to real people, in real languages, with real intent.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Proven experience writing high-impact ad copies and video scripts (Meta, Google, Reels, Shorts).

• Strong command over simple, clear, conversion-focused writing.

• Ability to adapt tone and language for vernacular audiences (Tamil / Telugu / Kannada / Malayalam / Hindi).

• Deep understanding of performance marketing hooks – scroll stoppers, first 3 seconds, CTAs.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-iteration environment (multiple scripts daily).

• Awareness of social media, meme, and short-form video trends.

• Collaborative mindset – working closely with performance marketers, video editors, and creative leads.

• Curiosity to test, learn, and constantly improve based on data.

Requirements

• Ability to shoot clean, natural video content (even on phone)
• A content-first mindset: you enjoy making videos, experimenting, and storytelling
• People who want stable monthly income, long-term association, and WFH convenience
• Basic understanding of trending formats, hooks, and reel psychology
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistent output

2. Assignment: Submit 2 short videos of one of our Apps.
3. Interview/Review Call
4. Offer: Contract (30 days)
