Local Peoples

Local Peoples is a studio and community of research, design and transformation experts, dedicated to solving complex citizen-centric and environmental challenges. We deliver rapid outcomes and build continuing value by co-designing, testing and iterating on policy, services and products to build a positive future for all Australians.

We’re proud to publish Matters Journal, a weekly digital and biannual print publication telling interconnected stories from the worlds of arts, design, technology, health, food and the environment. We believe what we design should be a step toward the future that we want to inhabit: a more social, sustainable, informed, inspiring, cohesive, considered, equitable and empathic world. Our projects are judged on how they create beneficial social, environmental and economic outcomes for our clients, reflecting our commitment to a human-centred design process that places the end user's needs at the heart of all we create.
