The Project Manager is responsible for managing the Neuromodulation Portfolio of medium to large scope projects or a subsection of an assigned large-scale project. The Senior Project Manager supports the Director, Portfolio Management, Project Head and cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for new product development, commercialization of new products and sustainability of existing products.

This is an individual contributor position and reports directly to the Director, Portfolio Management.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:

  • Develops detailed plans in alignment with strategic objectives of each project, including master schedules, budgets, project milestones, and key tasks and deliverables.

  • Support Director, Portfolio Management, Project Head and Core Team as necessary to define clear goals and to evaluate progress.

  • Identifies and assists in clearing barriers to effective progress.

  • Resolves resource issues and facilitates reallocation of activities and efforts to ensure schedules are achieved.

  • Conducts financial evaluation of assigned project.

  • Co-facilitates core team meetings and tracks progress against the project plan. Supports Sub-Team meetings in the development of schedule, risks/mitigations that support the overall project plan.

  • Comply with US FDA regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes and task assignments.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.

  • Provides guidance and direction to other project managers.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position is located in Houston. This position may require some business travel.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related Engineering discipline

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Broad, multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in the medical device industry

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross functional business preferred

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible project/portfolio management experience preferably in a medical device industry

  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant scale projects

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex business and technical aspects of medium to large scale projects

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results

  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable

  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

  • Advanced verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including presenting to senior management

  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

  • The position is located in Houston. This position may require some business travel.

  • A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $140,000 - $165,000+ discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
