What’s the role?

The Investigations Support role will be part of the Investigation and Complaints Unit (ICU) team. The role will work closely with the broader Investigation team and other relevant business units to undertake discovery work related to customer complaints, broker conduct, incoming subpoenas, court orders, police requests, government agency requests and third-party requests, and other tasks as required. The Investigations Support role is crucial to delivering positive and efficient outcomes to risk-related investigations.

This opportunity offers a part-time work arrangement, consisting of three days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely from any location within Australia.

Job Description

  • Investigations and reviews for customer complaints and broker conduct concerns.
  • Collaborating and working with the broader ICU and Compliance Risk and Legal (CRL) team to assist with ad hoc tasks and work related to investigations and managing risk.
  • Providing support on communicating, reporting and engagement on complaint/broker conduct investigations.
  • Collating information required for incoming subpoenas, court orders, police requests, government agency requests and third-party requests; and other tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the financial regulation environment (AFCA, ASIC) including lending requirements in relation to credit assessment
  • Experience in dealing with AFCA and its rules and ASIC Regulatory Guide (RG) 271 and RG 209 RL and Mortgage Brokers: Best Interests Duty RG273 (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Confluence.
  • Ability to work with team members across Lendi Group to ensure activities are completed within required timeframes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to proactively identify, understand, communicate, and act on current and future risks
  • Experience in the financial services industry or legal (desirable)
