Leidos has an opening in our Digital Modernization Sector for a talented and energetic Senior Manager, Finance and Business Operations to work with the best and brightest employees around the country in creating innovative all-encompassing solutions for our programs. This is a key role for a Leidos focus program with total contract value of $2.5B and annual revenue north of $200M that delivers IT solutions to our NASA customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial responsibilities for a Leidos focus program with total contract value over $2B and annual revenue north of $200M.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting (net bookings, revenue, OI/fee and cash), and effectively managing financial risks and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with program team and across Leidos functions to maintain Budget/EAC in compliance with contract and internal/external policies.

  • Make recommendations to senior leadership for making critical business decisions.

  • Proposal involvement (pricing and cost volume leadership) and building internal and external relationships to grow the program and achieve strategic goals.

  • Continuously drive reporting process and system enhancements to increase speed, consistency and accuracy of KPI reporting.

  • Team development including employee career development (mentoring, training, skills development) and talent management (recruitment and retention).

Please Note: This is 100% Telework role. While this is a remote position, the preference is for the successful candidate to be geographically close to a NASA center, at least within 50 miles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10+ years of relevant finance experience (Example: FP&A, Pricing, Program Finance) OR a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Positive can-do attitude with success leading diverse teams or projects under tight timelines.

  • Strategic vision with ability to drive new business captures and develop business case analyses.

  • Ability to analyze financials and advise senior management on financial and strategic issues.

  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and Annual Operating Plan.

  • Earned Value Management Systems/Process/Tools.

  • Understanding of accounting, EACs, and booking rates.

  • Knowledge in government contracting and FAR.

  • Excellent communications and problem solving skills.

  • US Citizenship is required and able to obtain at minimum Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems such as Costpoint, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Cognos, Power BI, and ServiceNow.

  • Experience and knowledge of GAAP financial statement reporting and accounting methods.

  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level)

Please Note: The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between mid $150,000 to low $180,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00

Leidos' story begins in 1969 when Dr. J. Robert Beyster, a visionary scientist, founded Science Applications Incorporated (SAI) in La Jolla, San Diego, California. With a modest investment and a powerful idea, Dr. Beyster embarked on a journey to apply scientific expertise to solve complex problems. Throughout the 1980s, the company, then known as Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), strategically shifted its focus towards national security and defense, solidifying its position as a key government services provider. This era set the stage for substantial growth and diversification. The 1990s saw SAIC continue to expand its offerings and international presence, securing its first major global contract with the Kuwaiti Defense Forces. A pivotal moment arrived in 2013 when SAIC underwent a significant transformation, splitting into two independent, publicly traded companies: a new company retaining the SAIC name and the original company, which was rebranded as Leidos (a name derived from 'kaleidoscope'). Leidos, as the legal successor to the original SAIC, inherited its pre-2013 stock price and corporate filing history and established its new headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This strategic move allowed Leidos to sharpen its focus on national security, health, and engineering solutions. Another major milestone occurred in August 2016 when Leidos merged with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS) business, a landmark transaction that created the defense industry's largest IT services provider and significantly expanded Leidos' capabilities and market share.
