United States onlyLeidos is seeking a Java Developer to support a dynamic application development and operations & maintenance (O&M) project for the IRS. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of developers, analysts, testers, and project managers to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software applications. The role requires full-stack development capabilities, with proficiency in both frontend and backend components, and a strong understanding of microservices and containerization.
Must be a US citizen or US person (green card holder) living in the US for at least the last 3 years.
Primary Responsibilities:
·Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience and meet business requirements.
·Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions to support application functionality.
·Develop well-structured, reliable, and reusable APIs that enable seamless integration with other services and systems.
·Perform unit testing and collaborate closely with the test team to support integration, system, and user acceptance testing, including troubleshooting and bug resolution.
·Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to provide technical insights and ensure alignment with project goals.
·Foster effective cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure successful software delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
2 + years of Java Development experience.
Able to achieve MBI Public Trust clearance.
Java IDE (Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio), Maven, Junit / Mockito, JavaScript / React / JQuery, HTML / XM, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Restful Services, Oracle or Mongo experience.
Must have experience in Agile.
Must have experience with software design patterns.
Must have strong analytical skills and be detail-oriented.

Current MBI Clearance
