As a Data Governance Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our organization's data assets through the implementation and maintenance of robust data governance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Develop and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization.
- Implement data quality metrics, monitoring processes, and remediation strategies to address data quality issues and improve overall data integrity.
- Define and maintain metadata standards, taxonomies, and dictionaries to facilitate effective data classification, lineage, and usage tracking.
- Partner with data stewards and business users to establish data ownership, accountability, and stewardship responsibilities within the organization.
- Manage the data lifecycle from acquisition to archival, including data retention policies, archival procedures, and data disposal protocols.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to implement data security controls, access management policies, and encryption standards to safeguard sensitive data assets.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key data governance metrics, trends, and compliance status to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong experience with Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management
- Due to Government Contract, all viable candidates must have an active US Government Secret Security Clearance
