Data Analyst

Keypath is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Growth team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online education across the APAC region. This role is central to our mission of becoming the leading provider of online education, supporting performance targets through high-impact analytics and insights.

Reporting to the Director, Product Strategy and Insights, the Data Analyst will work collaboratively across teams to enhance data accessibility, build robust insights capabilities, and embed a data-driven mindset throughout the business.

You’ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality analytics, automating reporting processes, and developing scalable, self-service dashboards using PowerBI. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and cross-functional influence, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives, drive operational excellence, and champion best practices in data management and storytelling.

Responsibilities include the following:

Performance Analysis & Forecasting

• Analyse and interpret performance data across lead-to-start conversion, student acquisition, and forecasting models to support strategic decision-making and pacing against targets.
• Deliver timely insights through weekly performance monitoring, budget variance analysis, and proactive data investigations, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define and implement key performance indicators, enabling a data-driven culture and operational excellence across the organisation.

Strategic Insight Development

• Turn data into actionable insights and recommendations and effectively communicate these in written and verbal form to senior management teams to drive strategic and operational decision-making.
• Conduct proactive data analysis to uncover market trends and opportunities within the postgraduate education sector, leveraging Keypath's internal datasets to provide competitive intelligence and growth recommendations.

Reporting Automation & Visualisation

• Lead the automation of all existing reporting processes using Power BI, SQL, and Azure tools.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to build scalable, interactive dashboards and reports.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all automated reporting outputs

Marketing Analytics

• Analyse marketing mix effectiveness and ROI, providing data-driven recommendations to optimise strategy and spend.

Data Infrastructure & Quality

• Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure data pipelines are reliable and accessible.
• Advocate for data quality improvements and best practices in CRM and source systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making.

Education

• Relevant degree or qualification in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Experience

• 5+ years in a data analytics role, preferably in a fast-paced or education-related environment.
• Proven experience automating reporting processes and building dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong experience with SQL and data manipulation across multiple sources.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through data storytelling and insight delivery.
• Experience working collaboratively with Data Engineers.
• Proven experience in analysing multiple data sources to develop insights that solve business problems and unearth opportunities
• Proven data visualisation, storytelling and presentation skills to translate data into actionable insights that non-technical stakeholders can understand and leverage
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy to successfully deliver business objectives
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving work environment.
• Experience within the Education Industry is highly valued.

Technical

• Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX and Power Query).
• Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with Azure Data Studio and/or Azure Analysis Services is a plus.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modelling principles.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing analytics tools
• An understanding of database systems and data warehousing methodologies would be desirable
• Strategic thinking, prioritisation and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Shows strong abilities in verbal and written communication and interpersonal leadership.
• Self-driven and proactive, willingly assumes accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
