Staff Product Designer, Visual & Motion (Remote - US)

In this role, you will lead the visual and motion direction of an extensive product ecosystem, shaping how the platform looks, moves, and communicates. You will define a unified design language that scales across thousands of interfaces while partnering closely with brand, design system, and engineering teams. Your expertise in visual systems, motion choreography, and precise UI craft will guide the evolution of highly dynamic, AI-driven product behaviors. You will build standards that are both inspiring and deeply technical, ensuring pixel-perfect quality and motion clarity across all surfaces. Accountabilities

• Architect the visual system by defining typography, color, grids, spacing, iconography, and data-visualization guidelines.
  • Translate brand direction into component-ready specifications with clear rationale, constraints, and measurable quality criteria.
  • Maintain visual cohesion across product UI, communication surfaces, and website through close collaboration with brand teams.
  • Define motion frameworks including choreography rules, timing scales, easing curves, and transition logic.
  • Produce motion specs mapped directly to engineering implementation, with values, logic, and interaction behaviors.
  • Prototype motion sequences that enhance hierarchy, comprehension, and workflow feedback.
  • Establish clear guardrails for motion usage to ensure performance, restraint, and clarity.
  • Embed visual and motion logic into tokens, components, and documentation within the design system.
  • Partner with design system teams to ensure components uphold visual and motion standards across breakpoints and states.
  • Collaborate with engineering to validate feasibility, performance impact, and cross-framework consistency.
  • Define visual and motion patterns supporting adaptive, automated, or AI-driven experiences.
  • Establish how system intelligence is visually communicated through cues, transitions, and states.
  • Lead governance with quality benchmarks, review gates, and motion QA processes.
  • Provide detailed direction on layout, density, alignment precision, and motion discipline.
  • Mentor designers on advanced visual craft, motion foundations, typography, and component polish.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design with strong specialization in visual systems, motion design, and UI craft.
  • Demonstrated ability to define highly detailed standards that scale across complex product ecosystems.
  • Experience designing for dynamic, automated, or intelligence-driven user workflows.
  • Mastery of Figma, including tokens, component architecture, and variables.
  • Expertise with advanced prototyping tools such as After Effects, Principle, Framer, or Lottie.
  • A portfolio showcasing exceptional detail orientation, visual excellence, motion clarity, and system thinking, focused on product interfaces.
  Bonus skills:
  • Experience in enterprise, cybersecurity, DevOps, infrastructure, or data-heavy platforms.
  • Understanding of code-based motion frameworks and how tokens propagate through engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and performance principles related to motion and visual design.
