This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevSecOps Integration Engineer in the United States.
This role provides a hands-on leadership opportunity to secure and optimize cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, including AWS, Azure, and classified platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps practices, ensuring security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. The position emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, mentoring peers, and developing automated pipelines that enhance scalability, compliance, and performance. You will influence the security posture of critical systems while managing cloud resources efficiently and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role combines technical mastery, operational insight, and strategic thinking to deliver secure and reliable solutions across a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities:
- Implement and maintain security best practices within cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into scalable and high-performing virtualized/cloud solutions.
- Develop automated build, test, and deployment pipelines incorporating security and compliance checks.
- Secure cloud-native resources via infrastructure-as-code and compliance-as-code.
- Monitor security metrics for applications and cloud environments using observability tools.
- Mentor colleagues on secure software development practices and DevSecOps strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships and infrastructure costs while supporting integration with third-party systems.
- Participate in Agile development and deployment processes and provide ongoing system support.
Requirements
· Active TS/SCI clearance.
- 6+ years of professional experience in DevSecOps or a similar role.
- Experience with cloud security on AWS and Azure.
- Strong container security knowledge with Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks, including Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking, routing, firewalls, VPN, and SSL.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and administration.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Attention to detail with strong adherence to privacy, security, and compliance best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup-like environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Preferred: Experience with securing data platforms, microservices, and classified cloud deployments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with compliance audits/certifications (SOC 2, FedRAMP, CMMC 2.0, ISO 27001, NIST standards).
