Do you want to be the face of one of gaming’s most well-known MMORPGs?
As a Community Manager on RuneScape, you will foster a community of players, bringing them more deeply into the development process and being the voice of the community to the development team and vice-versa.
Reporting to the Head of Community & Social Media, this is a hugely influential role in which you will work with the internal team and the community you’ll continue to build, to ensure the development of RuneScape is done with the community’s thoughts front and centre, so players want to keep coming back and be involved in the growth and continued improvement of the game they love.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be an ambassador for both our players and our studio, representing our team to the players and our player’s voice to the team.
- Become a subject matter expert on our players, working closely with development to ensure strong player feedback flows, risk identification and actionable player insights.
- Champion our brand, ensuring a deep understanding of game content and publishing activities.
- Monitor and regularly report on community sentiment, including use of sentiment tracking tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with RuneScape Influencers and community leaders.
- Work with the wider community team to deliver incredible campaigns that excite our players.
- Represent the team on camera through Live Streams or Video content.
- Work closely with our outsource community teams, ensuring they are contributing to the delivery of community initiatives.
- Manage and administrate our player communities, from Discord to Reddit and more.
- Stay up to date and ahead of the curve with ways to engage and support a community of passionate fans & players.
- Help develop community assets such as blogs, livestreams and interviews.
- Assist with events, trade show and exhibitions.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a front-facing role for a brand (preferably in games) with an understanding of how to communicate effectively and professionally on behalf of the brand.
- Strong understanding of games and the games industry, with an excellent understanding of your impact on player experience.
- Demonstrable experience of collecting and communicating data to inform your actions, suggestions & solutions to others.
- A history of enthusiastic community engagement in the games industry as a player or a professional.
- Proficient in using social media platforms for community engagement and promotion.
