Join Morta Technology Ltd as a Senior Backend Developer to build and scale critical services for our enterprise SaaS platform. You'll design robust APIs, optimise high-performance databases, and implement reliable background jobs that directly impact product functionality and system reliability. This role offers the opportunity to shape core backend architecture and work closely with the product team to drive performance and scalability.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python using Flask, SQLAlchemy, and Postgres.

• Design and optimise Postgres schemas, queries, and indexes for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement reliable background jobs and data workflows using Celery and Redis.

The ideal candidate:

• Proven experience building and scaling backend services in Python, ideally with Flask.

• Strong expertise in relational database design, optimisation, and performance tuning with Postgres.

• Experience with distributed systems, queues (Celery, Redis), and API design principles.
