French Curriculum Designer

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 15 million students worldwide, is seeking an experienced, passionate French Curriculum Designer to join our growing Curriculum team. In this role, you will focus on shaping and managing the creation of high-quality online content for users learning French as a second language.

You'll be involved in all aspects of content creation, including conceptualization, design, testing, and support. Your strong writing skills, keen eye for editing, deep knowledge of French grammar and stylistic conventions, and commitment to quality will help us create products that can reach millions of learners worldwide.

This is a full-time remote position for candidates in the United States, with a strong preference for those who can work Eastern time zone hours.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Act as the in-house expert on French grammar and style
• Proofread content, spotting and resolving inconsistencies or errors
• Manage projects and collaborate with software engineers, visual designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality content for English speakers learning the French language
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while consistently producing high-quality work
• Understand our project requirements and use them to create guidelines, processes, and documentation to support a growing team
• Hire and oversee a team of French<>English translators

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in French, education, linguistics, or a related field
• Native or native-like proficiency in French and English
• Specialized expertise in French<>English translation.
• Proven track record in project management
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Adept at conveying information effectively across diverse age groups.
• Excellent attention to detail and keen editing eye
• Ability to quickly master new guidelines and learn to use internal tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Passion for improving education through technology
• Collaborative team player who’s able to effectively contribute within cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
• Passion for education and dedication to facilitating learning for individuals of all ages worldwide in both French and English
