As Senior Manager Payments, you will be responsible for:

  • Own the Payments Ecosystem
  • Manage the optimization of our payment ecosystem, currently consisting of a payment orchestrator, multiple payment gateways, as well as a risk management and dispute management solution.
  • Optimization of routing decisions to improve approval rates and costs.
  • Localization of payment methods and prioritization/advocacy of their implementation with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of all payment processes, including chargeback management, fraud detection, payment approval, and fee optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging payment technologies to ensure our offerings remain competitive.
  • Develop a Strategy for Approval Rate Optimization
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive strategy to optimize payment approval rates across various geographies and product lines.
  • Liaise with Payment gateways to define optimization potential and execute optimization strategies
  • Implement continuous monitoring and improvement processes to stay ahead of industry trends and changes.
  • Maintain a rigid risk management process
  • Review and test risk management rules based on best-in-class standards
  • Work closely together with third-party risk management and dispute management providers as well as internal teams to improve and automate risk and dispute processes.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce Chargeback risk balance while maintaining bold conversion rate targets.
  • Improve approval rates through data analysis
  • Leverage data to inform decision-making, improve approval rates, risk management and enhance the overall efficiency of payment processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to enhance the payment ecosystem.
  • Drive initiatives to improve user experience, optimize payment methods, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate and decide on the inclusion of new payment methods in our service.

  • You have a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • You are a leader that's not afraid to roll-up their sleeves and work on a granular level as well as a strategic level
  • +6 years defining the payment ecosystem to optimize payment acceptance rate, payment cost, conversion rate, and revenue while keeping chargebacks at a healthy level.
  • Solid knowledge of payment architecture - candidate needs to understand payment orchestrators, payment gateways, and acquiring banks. (+6 years)
  • Ability to prioritize high-value opportunities and develop innovative ways to solve problems in the payments space.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven experience developing and managing a global payments team.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams to improve payment processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of global payment regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
