The Ideal Candidate

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer using Angular and Node.js

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the Back Office platform, primarily built with Node.js and Angular, and hosted on Google Cloud Platform

  • Contributing to other areas of the ecosystem, including data ingestion frameworks

  • Delivering new features for client-facing websites

  • Investigating and resolving production issues as they arise

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong expertise in Angular 2+ (or React), Node.js, and TypeScript

  • Fluency in both SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Solid knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience with programming best practices such as unit testing, refactoring, and maintaining clean, maintainable code

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (e.g. Firebase, Pub/Sub), which will be considered an asset

  • Experience with Cloudflare and JAMStack platforms, which will be considered an asset

  • A strong overall technical foundation and knowledge of industry best practices

  • Experience with additional programming languages (e.g. Python) and frameworks (e.g. React), which is highly valued

  • Ability to work effectively in an agile environment, collaborating closely with stakeholders

  • Understanding of SEO principles

  • A proactive, positive, and “can-do” attitude
