Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Manager of AI/ML Infrastructure Engineering to lead the design and development of cloud-native platforms and services that support both classical ML and Generative AI use cases. You will drive the architecture, technical direction, and productionalization of AI/ML systems, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance. This role requires a technically deep, hands-on leader with proven experience in building and scaling AI/ML infrastructure, as well as strong people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development and ownership of our AI/ML infrastructure, including architecture, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI/ML models.
Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, providing coaching, technical guidance, and leadership.
Collaborate closely with Data, AI, and Risk Technology (DART) teams, as well as business units across Tech, Digital, Risk & Compliance, and Customer Service, to align AI/ML infrastructure with organizational needs.
Drive adoption of best practices in engineering, MLOps, security, observability, and compliance.
Oversee implementation of AI/ML model productionalization, including data lakehouse technologies, pipelines, and scalable deployment systems.
Ensure platforms and systems meet our standards for usability, performance, security, reliability, and efficiency.
Partner with central architecture, security, and line-of-business engineering teams to deliver seamless integration of AI/ML infrastructure across products and services.
Balance near-term priorities with long-term infrastructure strategy, supporting both enterprise-scale ML and next-generation AI.
10+ years of experience in AI/ML infrastructure engineering, including scaling platforms for both classical ML and generative AI.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Proven experience with MLOps tools, AI/ML model deployment, and optimization of data pipelines.
Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures and experience with large-scale data processing systems.
Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams and delivering complex AI/ML projects.
Excellent communication and people leadership skills, with ability to align diverse stakeholders across technical and business organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
