Manager, Business Development/ Distributor Lube Engineer Opportunity

Requirements:

  • Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering Degree.
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Masters in Business Administration
  • 10 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of chemicals
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

English Language proficiency ( written and spoken)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Technical Development

  • Identify potential clients to fulfill Proof Of Performance requirements as per Principals direction/parameters, analyze gaps that can be corrected through technical development and obtain sign up on the project with client.
  • Implement and monitor the project to ensure objectives are met, prepare report and submit to Principal based on the guidelines given, in order for the results/achievements to be published globally.
  • Conduct technical seminars for current and potential customers in order to provide technical support in their operations and solving issues.
  • Conduct Lube Clinics for targeted customers to support issue resolutions arising from product use and provide solutions as necessary in order to retain customers.
  • Visit customer on site during machinery breakdown related to lubricants. Analyze, observe and provide support to resolve the issue in order to give value added services with the aim of retaining customers.
  • Prepare Lube charts for visual presentation as required for customers with regards to important lubricant parameters.

Sales, Marketing and Business Development

  • Assist in preparation of the annual budgets and responsible to meet target sales under lubricants.
  • Negotiate prices for imports to meet organizational requirements.
  • Analyze economic and market factors to propose new, sustainable and profitable business development opportunities and for diversification of products under Chemicals Division.
  • Meet potential customers in order to develop business and partnerships beneficial to the company.
  • Manage debtors in order Power Industrial and chemicals and to minimize risk to the company by following up on payments and coordinating with relevant internal parties.
  • Perform additional duties in line with the current role, as and when requested by management
  • Responsible to diversify chemical sector in Companies to meet the organization goals.
