Senior Staff Accountant
We are looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to lead and implement internal accounting control and processes that enables the Finance & Accounting team to reach their internal objectives and key results.
Specific Responsibilities Include: Month-end close
- Manage overall company close calendar and checklist. Our objective is to close by BD 5.
- Perform general ledger review and testing to assure integrity of financial data.
- Prepare accrual journal entries, account reconciliations, and overhead allocation entries.
- Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, bonus accruals, CIP, COGS and CapEx allocation, benefits and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare adjusting entries for government grant projects, as well as reporting for government projects.
- Prepare financial statements and OpEx reporting package, inclusive of variance analysis
Specific Responsibilities Include: Other Accounting
- Support external audit process.
- Manage internal controls matrix and policy.
- Manage Accounts Payable wires and ACH payments.
- Assist with one time projects depending on the needs of the Finance & Accounting department, such as system implementation and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Highly resilient and agile learning mindset

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- 4+ years of experience in Accounting including financial accounting and experience constructing accounting reconciliations
- External Audit experience preferred
- Strong MS Excel skills
- ERP experience preferred (Netsuite)
- Great written and verbal communication skills
