Position Summary:
IEM is looking for a Full Time- Construction Project Manager that has experience in a QC role, with construction experience. Candidates should maintain a complete understanding of all applicable Program policies, requirements, and procedures and review all cases within the guidelines established. This may include processing, monitoring, tracking and reporting applications within a functional area with little or no direct supervision.
Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location.
- All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
Travel Requirements:
- The position will require occasional travel to client sites and other locations to conduct meetings, site visits, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Support and assist homeowners and contractors in a professional manner through the Rebuild Florida, TX GLO, or Rebuild Puerto Rico Program(s)
- Provide program and construction-related guidance and technical assistance throughout the construction process related but not limited to building/code issues, municipality concerns, program policies and procedures and closeout documentation
- Act as a liaison and mediator between the state and the builder to assist in resolving issues and project completion
- Accurately document interactions and information in IEM and State database systems in a timely manner, including but not limited to SIROMS, HRIQ, Canopy, Salesforce, and Smartsheets
- Utilizing Xactimate to perform scoping analyses
- Preparing final scope reconciliations to align planned and completed work prior to file closeout or award.
- Gather, review and submit requests for grant funds and contractor validation to the IEM Payment Processing Team within 2 days of receipt
- Gather, review and submit scope adjustment requests to the IEM Scope Team for processing
- Work with IEM Scope Team and construction team and other departments to provide the documentation needed to perform file closeout
- Update Contractors when relevant Program policies and procedures are revised
- Resolve all known file issues prior to sending files to final QA/QC Compliance and Monitoring team review
- Escalate scoping issues to Pod Lead, Scope Lead and Construction Manager, as necessary
- Respond to questions and/or calls from managers and Leads as soon as possible
- Actively participate in all relevant Pod construction meetings and trainings when scheduled
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three (3) years relevant experience
- Proficient in Xactimate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Basic knowledge of construction
- Candidate should be extremely detail oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, ability to work independently.
