Be the financial heart of a company that leads with compassion.
Who We Are
At HospiceServe, we’re more than a hospice care provider—we’re a team dedicated to honoring life. We serve patients and families during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives with empathy, integrity, and excellence. As we continue to grow across multiple states, we’re seeking a mission-driven Controller to lead our financial operations and help shape the future of compassionate care.
Why You’ll Love Working with Us

- You’ll be part of a close-knit, values-based team that thrives on cross-functional collaboration and building new systems from the ground up.
- You’ll have room to innovate and improve: We’re in a stage of growth and welcome new ideas, better tools, and proactive thinking.
What You’ll Do

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) while delivering clear financial insights and analysis to senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, tax laws, and insurance requirements by preparing and reviewing all relevant filings and reports.
- Coordinate and support audits, partnering with external auditors to ensure a smooth year-end process and accurate financial documentation.
- Drive strategic budgeting and forecasting processes that align with our operational goals while maintaining financial sustainability and supporting high-quality patient care.
- Manage cash flow and banking activity, ensuring liquidity, proper fund allocation, and efficient processes across departments.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, working cross-functionally to implement effective controls and strategic safeguards.
- Support acquisitions and integrations, overseeing financial due diligence and ensuring seamless consolidation of acquired entities.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a small accounting team, fostering growth, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Streamline and enhance financial operations through systems optimization, process improvements, and implementation of new tools and technologies.
