Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Senior Director of Finance and Administration to join our team within a two-hour drive from Charlotte, NC or Bethlehem, PA. Reporting directly to the Co-Founders, this role is integral to our financial planning, analysis, and overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis, with experience in food service or hospitality being a plus.
This role does not include direct reports, making it an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and growing environment. The position requires a proactive leader who can interface with Baker Tilly, our outsourced accounting services provider, execute financial strategies, support business scaling, and ensure fiscal responsibility while optimizing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial models to support company growth and scalability.
- Business Performance & Strategy: Conduct scenario analyses and create proformas to drive informed executive decision-making.
- Operational Finance: Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial controls, and contract compliance.
- Cost Management: Monitor cost structures, assess financial risks, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Leverage financial technology solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- New Business & Expansion Support: Analyze potential investments, acquisitions, and new business opportunities to support strategic growth.
- Education & Coaching: Create financial education tools for leadership. Coach and train staff.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Full-time, home-based within a two-hour drive from Charlotte, NC or Bethlehem, PA.
- Very competitive salary plus annual incentive plan.

- Work is primarily in a home-office setting but may involve some travel to support operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
- 6-8 years of financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in food service, hospitality, or a related industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, scaling business environment.
- Experience with multi-state tax concepts and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in financial systems, with knowledge of ERP solutions preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
