The Build team sits at the intersection of brand new venture backable startup ideas, and centuries-old legacy institutions and companies. As an Analyst, you will identify, research, validate and advance opportunities to launch startups with corporate, university and government partners. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop a well rounded playbook of management consulting tools including conducting comprehensive market research, testing critical assumptions, and effectively communicating their findings. The ideal candidate will excel in their ability to distill complex research into easily digestible and actionable deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

• Research markets and new business opportunities
• Become a subject matter expert by conducting comprehensive research, employing interviews and bench research to gather essential raw materials for analysis
• Ideate and test new B2B SaaS concepts and business models against the the given problem statement
• Develop program management skills ensuring clear communication and attention to detail within the team and upholding transparency regarding daily activities
• Participate in High Alpha Innovation’s Sprint Week process across programs
• Actively participate in career development and coaching opportunities; strive to develop mastery within all elements of the playbook
• Participate in the overall development of our firm’s capabilities by sharing best practices and knowledge with team members

Skills Needed

• BS/BA in business, technology, engineering, or entrepreneurship required
• Venture or startup experience a strong plus
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a creative research approach
• Ability to extract relevant information from interviews and research
• Passion for working with startups and patience for working with large enterprises
• Excellent relationship builder with ability to instill confidence in their work
• Demonstrated EQ and dynamic communication skills needed to quickly build trusting collaborative relationships and instill confidence in their work with all stakeholders
• Self-starter who can thrive in an unstructured and collaborative team environment
• Ability to use tools such as G Suite, Pitchbook with advanced skills in PowerPoint/Keynote
• Ability to travel (up to 25%)
