The EPIC Senior Accountant we are looking for:
Reporting to the Controller, the job entails providing accounting support to the Controller and the Director of Finance. The responsibilities include bank account reconciliation, journal entries, financial statement production and maintaining a Chart of Accounts. Additionally, the job requires tasks such as balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany balance tracking, and financial analysis.
As Senior Accountant, you will:
- Provide accounting support for daily, weekly and monthly tasks of the Controller and the Director of Finance
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and for multiple entities
- Calculate/post journal entries and monthly accruals; enter vendor invoices and track status of accounts payable
- Update and review data files in support of monthly close
- Assist with the production and publishing of the monthly financial statements
- Assist with maintaining one uniform Chart of Accounts across all entities
- Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany balance tracking, reconciliations and financial settlements
- Assist with cash flow planning, general forecasting and budgeting
- Respond to document requests from external parties such as auditors, tax return preparers, banks and investors
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting procedures, policies and the accounting system
- Ad-hoc financial analysis, financial reporting and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an Accredited University
- 1 to 5 years accounting experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Trust, Integrity and Financial Ethical Standards
- Detailed-oriented with good record keeping skills
- Self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to navigate through large volumes of data to source desired financial information
Qualification Preferences:
- In pursuit of CPA license or existing CPA license
- Multi-company and/or high-volume Intercompany experience
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Enjoys fast-paced environment
- Desire to grow professionally with company
