We need an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our DNS product development.
You’ll craft a strategy and roadmap to compete with DNS industry leaders, balancing accessibility for small businesses with enterprise-grade capabilities for high-traffic domains!
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll innovate on monitoring, improving DNSSEC offerings, and real-time analytics to solidify GoDaddy’s DNS offerings!
What you'll get to do...
- Define a long-term vision and multi-year roadmap for GoDaddy’s DNS products that simplifies web presence for SMBs while standing strong against enterprise and boutique competitors.
- Own and improve the DNS product suite—features include zone file management, A/MX/CNAME/TXT records, DNSSEC, and Premium DNS—focusing on scalability and market competitiveness.
- Identify and deliver impactful improvements in DNS performance, user experience, and security, including capabilities such as DDoS or equivalent experience protection, managed DNSSEC, and real-time diagnostics.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, support, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centric DNS solutions and continuously improve platform usability.
- Translate the needs of both small businesses and enterprise clients into intuitive features like beginner-friendly dashboards, drag-and-drop editing, and advanced tools for technical users.
Your experience should include...
- 5+ years in the domain industry, with 4+ years of direct experience managing DNS, networking, or cybersecurity-focused products.
- Proven track record to build or manage scalable internet infrastructure and cloud-based services that support business-critical applications.
- Experience delivering DNS solutions across registries, registrars, government partners, and enterprise customers while meeting technical and regulatory requirements.
- Solid grasp of DNS protocols (A, MX, TXT, CNAME), DNSSEC, DDoS mitigation strategies, and authentication/security frameworks relevant to domain operations.
- Familiarity with TLD infrastructure, IETF standards (e.g., RDAP, Domain Connect), and ICANN regulations that govern global domain operations.
You might also have...
- Hands-on experience at a DNS provider, hosting company, domain registry, or registrar supporting DNS infrastructure at scale.
- Exposure to GoDaddy tools like Domain Control Centre or integration methods like Domain Connect that simplify domain configuration.
- Awareness of key threats (e.g., cache poisoning, DNS amplification) and experience building mitigation strategies into product offerings.
- Prior work managing enterprise domain portfolios or supporting global TLD operations with tailored product solutions.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, or a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in tech product leadership
