Generation is an independent nonprofit founded in 2014 by McKinsey & Company to help bridge the gap between youth unemployment and the skills that employers need in high-demand sectors. With a mission focused on supporting individuals facing barriers to employment, Generation has effectively trained and placed adults into meaningful careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. The programs aim to not only provide job training but also to instill confidence and employability skills, enabling participants to navigate the job market successfully.

By leveraging intensive profession-specific training, tailored mentoring support, and employability coaching, Generation has positively impacted the lives of over 2,500 learners since its inception in the UK. The organization continuously monitors its impact, reporting an impressive 70% job placement rate for its graduates six months after completing their courses. Furthermore, 80% of these individuals retain their employment for more than a year. Generation operates on the core belief that jobs have the power to change lives, and it works diligently to ensure that every learner is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in their career.
