About the Role
This is a remote contract based role for three months with possibility of extension.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of Frontend development experience.
- A degree in information technology/management, or related fields.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with microservice API endpoints in GraphQL and REST.
- Implement unit tests for frontend code using tools like Jest to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our frontend development processes.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive web experiences.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to uphold code quality standards.
- Assist in technical documentation and contribute to basic technical writing tasks as needed.
- Assist in planning and executing tests to assess the usability of a software product.
- Proven experience coding in TypeScript with a strong understanding of Node.js.
- Strong proficiency in developing HTML5-based web pages with CSS/SCSS styling.
- Experience working with microservice API endpoints in both GraphQL and REST architectures.
- Prior experience with unit testing in TypeScript using tools like Jest.
- Familiarity with containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience in code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Good understanding of frontend frameworks such as ReactJS or Next.js is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and remain composed under pressure.
