At the heart of Foresters Financial is a deeply rooted culture of purpose and community, a narrative that began in 1874 with a pioneering mission to provide accessible life insurance for hardworking families. This foundational ethos, established nearly 150 years ago, continues to be the driving force behind the organization's identity as a fraternal benefit society. The culture is not merely about financial products; it's about fostering long-term well-being and security for its members and their communities across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. This commitment was championed by early leaders like Dr. Oronhyatekha, whose vision of doing good and giving back has been woven into the very fabric of the company. This is a place where financial security is intertwined with making a positive impact, a philosophy that empowers both employees and members to contribute to something larger than themselves.

The internal culture at Foresters is built on principles of inclusion, diversity, and equity, creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and heard. Employees are encouraged to engage in meaningful work and are provided with numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, including specialized training in areas like mental health awareness and financial planning. This dedication to employee well-being is further exemplified through programs that encourage community involvement, such as matching fundraising donations and facilitating hands-on volunteer work. This holistic approach ensures that the team is not just part of a company, but part of a community dedicated to enriching lives and fostering a legacy of support and financial resilience for generations to come. The belief is that by investing in their people and their communities, they are building a stronger, more resilient future for everyone.
