This role is a global opportunity that requires a 4 hour overlap with US Mountain Time
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain our customer facing web application.
- Work with product teams to help make lean UX decisions.
- Own implementation of new features from frontend to backend.
- Build and maintain new features for our API product.
- Build, integrate, and maintain related RESTful web services to support diverse application requirements.
- Design and optimize relational databases, queries, and data structures using PSQL and other No-SQL data stores.
- Contribute to our worker services responsible for processing billions of events monthly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, build and deploy new features in AWS and other cloud providers we utilize.
- Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for performance and security.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack web application development using languages and frameworks such as Python, Django, Typescript, React, HTML, and MySQL.
- Expertise in designing and implementing application architectures that are highly scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, including design, querying, and optimization.
- Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with task queue technologies such as Celery and familiarity with scalable distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based deployments.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge with no-sql databases such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for building search functionalities.
- Good UI/UX skills, able to call out improvements in product.
