We are on the lookout for an experienced leader with a profound commercial insight into the educational sector, particularly within primary and/or secondary settings. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our culture of creativity while living up to the Twinkl leadership ethos. Managing projects to meet tight deadlines, you’ll also coach and nurture your team’s growth, ensuring excellence in every content line delivered.

As a guardian of our vision to Help Those Who Teach, you'll support the creation of innovative and impactful teaching materials that set the standard in the education market. Your collaboration with product owners and managers will directly influence the success and relevance of our resources for educators worldwide.

Regular reporting and active communication with stakeholders within and outside Twinkl will be key. Your voice will help align our efforts with the company's core values, ensuring we remain focused on making a significant impact in the educational landscape.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Understanding the pain points affecting our customers and identifying ways of addressing them
  • Reporting on the performance of content lines within your group
  • Overseeing the content’s journey and communicating this with stakeholders
  • Supporting product owners to conduct competitor analysis, market and field research to inform content line judgements
  • Providing line management and coaching to a team of passionate product owners
  • Lead on recruitment for roles within your team
  • Holding the bigger picture for future releases of resources within your group and completing strategic reviews
  • Overseeing the development of the content lines within your group, following the roadmap, including gathering customer feedback and sharing information with the marketing team
  • Being a central point of communication for your group with key areas of the business
  • Developing programmes to support the wider team with their CPD
  • Researching and developing innovative concepts within the market
  • Supporting partnership opportunities

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have teaching and leadership experience
  • Have a knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum and other statutory and non-statutory frameworks to contribute to your understanding of the target market
  • Have a hard work ethic, be passionate, driven and love what you do
  • Be organised, able to work to deadlines, and manage your time effectively
  • Have a passion for team leadership and coaching team members
  • Be able to communicate with colleagues and our external partners effectively
  • Have analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven and business decisions

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Experienced in school leadership and enabling growth

  • Works well under pressure, and can manage multiple projects and requests

  • Experience of working with large complex and diverse teams

Soft Skills:

  • Is good fun to be with and has the ability to communicate well with others
  • Is honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • Produces quality work and is ready to learn new skills

Remote working and hours:

  • Although we allow flexible working patterns to fit in around family or other commitments, our full-time team members are expected to complete most of their work during office hours, Monday to Friday. To be considered for this role, you would need to be available around our core hours (10am-2pm) Monday to Friday. You will need to have good daytime availability for training, meetings, collaboration and ongoing CPD, particularly in your training period/first month.
  • Essential for remote working - You will need access to a fast and reliable internet connection of at least 6mb down and 1mb upload. We recommend you use speedtest.net to check.
