Senior Payroll Officer

What will your typical week look like?

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing and administration for a diverse portfolio of NZ-based clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with employment legislation and client agreements
• Provide ongoing mentoring, training, and peer support to fellow team members, helping to build capability and foster continuous improvement across the team
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and clients, and play an active role in process improvement initiatives, bringing your expertise to help shape efficient and scalable payroll practices

Let’s talk about you!

• Demonstrated experience in delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll services in a complex or multi-client environment
• Comprehensive understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance, including the Holidays Act and PAYE obligations
• Previous experience using different payroll and HRIS platforms (e.g. Datapay, iPayroll, IMS, Pay Metrics) and intermediate Excel skills
• An organised, self-managing approach to completing workflow and realising deadlines with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently, prioritise, and adapt in a fast-paced environment whilst still successfully communicating with the wider team
