Open Call for Associate Writers (Freelance)

This is an application to join a writer's pool. We are not hiring at this time but are glad to keep your submission on file. All applications are reviewed quarterly, if not sooner. In all cases, this is not a full time position. Availability of assignments will vary over time.

This means that in addition to being notably talented writer, there is a deep knowledge of behavioral science &/or counseling psychology. Expectations | Duties

• Conduct scholarly research on a variety of topics, from productivity to compassion
• Distill scientific content into an understandable and engaging format for a diverse audience (business executives to pop culture connoisseurs)
• Craft long- and short-form product content experiences that use behavioral science to support personal growth
• Apply the narrative arc as a tool for inspiring and motivating users towards positive change
• Write clear, effective, short-form UX copy from push notifications to social media posts
• Coordinate content releases with designers, voiceover artists, and development team
• Proofread all content for grammar, punctuation, and stylistic inconsistencies
• This is not a full time position. Availability of assignments will vary over time.

Requirements

• Interest in personal development and human behavior
• Fluent in English with mastery of grammar and sentence construction
• Willingness to become expert users of online collaboration tools like Trello, AirTable, Notion, Confluence, Slack
• Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects
• Hungry for feedback and constant improvement
• Beneficial: training in counseling psychology, coaching, behavioral change
• Beneficial: experience in peer-editing
