The Channel Manager for Activation Programs – is a sales and business development professional with 10 or more years of experience leading successful product sales programs within the mobile industry. This position is responsible for management of all aspects of the company’s postpaid mobile activations programs, which currently consists of AT&T. This would include; day-to-day dealer contact, support and oversight of the sales team, developing strategies and tactics to maximize revenue growth, expansion of the product offering and strengthening epay market share.
The successful candidate will be a sales leader with an exceptional record of achievement, combined with a deep understanding of indirect mobile retail strategy, best practices and methodologies. This individual will also be a strong manager, team-builder, and coach. This role will involve successfully partnering with internal colleagues, vendors, and customers across the indirect dealer activation channel to plot the business strategy, develop and launch programs, facilitate product enhancements, and measure revenue growth. This position will be a full-time employee reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administrate all aspects of the company’s postpaid mobile activations channel
- Relationship management with key partners and stakeholders; Providers, Retailers and internal departments
- Strategic sales planning by aligning all activities and opportunities with company goals and providing input and feedback to management
- Focus on long-term revenue growth of the company’s postpaid mobile activations business, design strategies and tactics to maximize growth opportunities and continually strengthen market share and revenue achievement
- Maintain a consistently high level of availability to customers and partners
- Consult regularly with customers throughout the channel, through regular business reviews, assessing and collecting intelligence on product needs, program improvements, and market trends
- Create and utilize comprehensive reporting tools to track and analyze performance on a regular basis
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, forecast, and monthly sales performance, providing revenue pipeline and forecasting updates to management
- Facilitate product enhancement and innovation ideation sessions with the Product team based on dealer, provider, and market feedback
- Engage and work closely with the appropriate internal and external resources – Product, Marketing, Customer Service, Account Management, IT, executive team, program vendors – as needed to develop to grow and maintain sales in the channel.
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales and business development experience, preferably within the mobile industry
- Deep experience handling major or key customers
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient and demonstrable experience in creating value-based demonstrations and selling complex solutions
- Experienced in objection handling and negotiating, and ability to write and direct proposal preparation
- Natural leader with experience managing, coaching, and motivating both teams of employees and colleagues
- Excellent communicator possessing a positive, collaborative demeanor
- Proficient technology skills (i.e. retail POS systems, application user experience, ERP environments, business analytics suites)
- Travel as required to meet with sales team, customers, partners, colleagues, or attend industry events
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of postpaid mobile industry required
