EquipmentShare is Hiring an Asset Readiness and Warranty Director
EquipmentShare is searching for an Asset Readiness and Warranty Director for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. This position can sit remote in the US.
The Asset Readiness and Warranty Director will be a continuation of the relationship between the OEMs and ES after the Machines are acquired. The Director will ensure that we have all the necessary documents, manual, Continued Service Bulletins and warranty management, from the quality aspect to the capital recovery of services and parts used during the warranty period.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create easy ways to access the information for warranty from a branch perspective
- Maximize recovery of warranty claims and increase the claims related to services and parts during the warranty period
- Improve the relations with the Branches to inform the profit impact of warranty and parts not returned
- Collaborate with OEMs in regards to service bulletins, recalls and execution in the field, as well as maximizing any expense incurred.
- Maintain a library easy accessible to the users
- Work in close collaboration with the other Service areas to maximize the support to the operations and make the processes more seamless.
- Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful business management.
- Treat warranty as a business and ensure the accountability of the OEMs on quality control;
- Trigger initiatives to increase collaboration with Operations and improve service performance
- Oversees the selection and training of qualified program staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations. Ensure commercial terms are understood by the team.
- Create reports and dashboards with claim history, OEMS, etc and create actions with the Fleet department and Service.
- Understand coverage scope and limitations by manufacturer and compare to peers.
- Create clear KPIs for all the team

- Thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as relevant warranty-related internal and external regulations and policies. Warranty Managers who have strong technical knowledge are able to assess warranty claims accurately, identify issues, and provide solutions.Experience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating projects
- Strong analytical skills to analyze, interpret, and assess all different situations encompassing the asset delivery and warranty terms and determine their eligibility and accuracy and make informed decisions based on findings.

The keen eye for detail enables to maintain precise records, spot discrepancies, and challenging claims, and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Prior working experience in warranty management or claims processing
- Strong understanding of general warranty terms, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to assess and interpret technical documentation and specifications
