United States onlyEquip is a virtual, evidence-based eating disorder treatment program that provides access to treatment that works. As a Family Mentor, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary care team to provide support and skill-building to carer families and patient support people. The role involves working with diverse people with varying lived experiences, using evidence-based care and treatment, and working in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Lived experience as an eating disorder caregiver for a loved one in firm and stable recovery
- 2+ years of experience working directly with patients and/or their families in a care setting
- Passion for helping patients and their families as they navigate eating disorder treatment
- Ability to connect with a range of diverse people with varying lived experiences
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working with and learning new technologies
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Ability to work 2 evenings per week until 8pm local time
