About the Role:
This developer will work primarily on projects related to DevOps as well as the security
of our platform. Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the
latest technologies.
Role and responsibilities:
- Build, integrate, deploy and maintain development tools focusing on:
- code deployment
- platform security
- source control
- system administration
- configuration management
- application performance
- Participate in system maintenance and application uptime activities
- Work on Security-focused development projects utilizing ColdFusion and associated technologies (Javascript,...)
- Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
- Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
- Have on-call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team
What will help you succeed in this role:
- Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems atscale, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Understanding of secure systems deployment and software development (ie. OWASP)
- Natural tendency to automate repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Powershell, Bash, etc)
- Ability to understand complex problems and communicate them in simple terms to all levels of company
- AWS skills (e.g. IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling)
- MS Windows Server, IIS and MS application skills
- MS SQL Server skills
- Version control system experience (e.g. Subversion, Git)
- Experience implementing CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI)
- Clear understanding of Disaster Recovery, Redundancy, Scalability
- Experience with IT assessments, audits/reviews. (ie. PCI, HIPAA, Best Practices Risk Assessments)
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies through self-learning
- Natural Curiosity and Initiative
- Ability to work effectively in a remote/decentralized environment
