About our Team
The Supplier Operations department within Journal Operations is responsible for ensuring high-level customer satisfaction. Our team plays a vital bridging role between supplier partners and Journal Operations, with sharp focus on achieving journals supplier-based services that meet the needs of our Production and Editorial partners, ensuring optimal operational performance of suppliers, meeting business targets, implementing various workflows, achieving timely product deliverables, deploying cost-effective strategies, and monitoring continuous improvement of supplier quality frameworks.
About the Role
The Supplier Operations Manager will be responsible to meet the revenue realization target, month on month, by working closely with Global Production Control Manager, Journal Operations and suppliers. The Supplier Operations Manager will be responsible to ensure right level of knowledge and trainings are provided to the Elsevier Supplier Partners so that they become fully capable and are informed of any shortfalls in the systems and processes to continue business as usual.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing suppliers end to end performance and ensuring accurate and timely status reporting are done.
- Support business with achieving the revenue and financial target by working closely with the core production target team and suppliers
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, working with colleagues to review processes and performance, ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction
- Embrace change by supporting cost optimization services, projects and initiatives into production and supporting operational queries that arise in BAU stage
- Provide technical triaging support and be responsible for the quality monitoring framework implemented across all the standardized workflows in journals process.
Requirements
- Be fluent in English (oral and written) and have excellent all-round communication skills
- Have solid organization, planning and change management skills
- Show an aptitude for proofreading and excellent attention to detail
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism or related field of study
- Experience in a customer service role
