Edge Collaborative

Edge Collaborative is a civic incubator that seeds, supports, and spins out civic initiatives. Founded in early 2021, the organization was born from the founders' experience working in local government, where they witnessed both the capabilities and institutional blind spots of public bureaucracy. The organization functions as part R&D lab, seed investor, and nonprofit, partnering with public, private, and nonprofit organizations to tackle systemic economic challenges in Stockton, California.

The organization's north star is a more inclusive, participatory economy where communities have agency over their futures. Edge Collaborative invests in civic infrastructure to translate local community-led priorities into tangible projects and public-private partnerships. They operate across three strategic pillars: Workforce (reimagining job types and accessibility), Green Economy (advancing environmental justice and infrastructure), and Community Wealth (building long-term wealth for historically excluded communities). Their core capabilities include capital deployment, talent development, coalition building, and policy shaping. The organization leverages philanthropy to drive public investment into community priorities.
