Key Responsibilities Systems & Virtualization (Proxmox)
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Proxmox VE clusters.
- Manage virtual machines, storage pools, and high-availability configurations.
- Implement backup and restore strategies using Proxmox tools.
Endpoint Management (Intune)
- Administer Microsoft Intune for mobile device and endpoint management.
- Develop policies for device compliance, app deployment, and remote wipe.
- Collaborate on plugin trials and cost assessments for Intune integrations.
Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)
- Provision and manage Azure resources including VMs, storage, networking.
- Maintain AzureArc, recovery vaults, system backups and recovery plans
- Maintain EntraID SSO configurations and user provisioning
Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance for infrastructure for our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 controls
- Manage account lockout policies, two-factor authentication, and server remote access.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
- Work cross-functionally with IT, compliance, and vendor teams to support infrastructure projects.
- Manage and remediate IT system tickets
Skills & Requirements Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in systems administration.
- Proven experience with Virtualization (Proxmox preferred), Microsoft Intune, and Azure.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Proxmox VE Certified Administrator (or equivalent) a plus
- Microsoft Certified: Intune Administrator a plus
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) a plus
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Ability to design, review, and improve infrastructure and security architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex IT environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a contract role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-starter with initiative and accountability for delivering results.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a strong focus on resolving user issues efficiently.
- Ability to travel up 25%-50% to data center locations and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
