Position Summary:
EasyPost is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join our expanding eCommerce product team. This team is responsible for developing new products and services within the eCommerce space to leverage EasyPost's world-class shipping products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
o Design and implement highly resilient, scalable, and performant solutions that solve complex shipping problems using EasyPost’s core API.
o Spearhead complex, high-impact changes to eCommerce integration systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
o Enable the consolidation of technologies across full-stack teams, supporting the transition to a standard tech stack
o Develop both front-end and back-end components, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components and successful product releases.
o Champion clean code practices and high software craftsmanship standards across the team through code reviews, constructive feedback, and mentoring.
o Participate in technical and product discussions with leaders across our engineering, product, and business teams.
o Collaborate with product and design teams to iterate quickly and build intuitive user experiences.
o Demonstrate self-reliance and best design, communication, and solution practices in daily work and tasks without supervision.
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications:
o 5+ years of experience building modern web applications, with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects.
o Extensive full-stack development experience anchored in Python and React. We value a polyglot mindset, so you should also demonstrate proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., Go, PHP) and framework (e.g., Vue, Angular) to show your ability to adapt and learn.
o Experience building and maintaining reliable services, distributed systems, and API integrations.
o Experience with automated tests, CI/CD, and observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, Sentry)
o Demonstrated ability to take ownership, execute independently, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
o Possesses strong product awareness—thinks beyond implementation details to consider user experience, edge cases, failure states, and real-world impact when making engineering decisions.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively translate complex information to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
Bonus experience:
o eCommerce platform integrations / plugins (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento)
o Familiarity with the Shipping and Logistics industry
